Aperture	Fracture width
Spacing	Distance between fractures
Hydraulic conductivity	A measure for ease with which a fluid (groundwater) can flow through a porous medium
Permeability	A characteristic value for a porous medium, which quantifies the ease with which a fluid can flow through it independently of the fluid density and viscosity
Porosity	The fraction of the void space in a porous medium (pore volume divided by total volume)
Aquifer	Permeable geologic layer, that contains groundwater
Sorption	The mechanism that compounds are bound or attached to soil particles due to intermolecular forces
